February 12 Thursday

Today was a busy day - busy with a lot of busy work. Merl studied in the morning (Lesson 6 for Wizard) and continued to edit his High Council talk. He and David prepared the forms and paperwork for our upcoming visit with the Federal Police Department to extend our Visas until April 28. We had to document financial status (bank statements), flight itineraries to leave the country, passport information verification, . . .) I did some laundry and whatever else kept me busy for the day.

David researched where we were going to go in Porto Alegre to find the things we wanted to see and do when we go next week. Sometimes we catch him sleeping on the job.
We finished packing for camp as Friday is scheduled for Missionary meeting and the final camp fund raiser - cooking the chicken, rice, and polenta for 250+ dinner coupons sold.

Ann had her hair cut and planned her ideas for gifts she will give the Primary children when the learn the first five Articles of Faith. She had piano lessons late in the afternoon.

The Integration meeting was planned and conducted by Pres. Anderson - an evening of watching Zumba instruction on a big screen and then learning to zumba. The few adults and teen-agers were interested and participated, but the younger kids spent most of their time outside doing other things.

When we arrived home, David and Ann watched the scoreboard of Mitchell's State championship wrestling match on the computer (Mitchell in orange). Things got pretty tense around here as the points were not going in his favor. As it ended up, Mitchell took 2nd place in the State of Utah for his weight. Something to be very proud of!
